With an MBA and more than 13 years of experience in sales, marketing and team building, Raja Sekhar Chokka founded Desi Cart Groceries to create a welcoming one-stop destination for families across Oshawa and Durham Region.

Desi Cart began in January 2023 with a clear purpose: make everyday shopping easier while helping customers feel closer to home. What started as an Indian grocery store has grown into a neighbourhood destination for groceries, fresh meat and fish, Indian takeout, festival essentials and convenient everyday services.
Raja brings a hands-on approach to the business—listening to customers, developing the team and continually expanding the products and services local families ask for. His leadership is grounded in relationships, dependable service and a belief that a local business should grow together with its community.
